Dennis Schroder's wife Ellen Schroder reacts to Nets star playfully taunting Kevin Durant after drilling contested 3-pointer

On Wednesday night, Dennis Schroder and the Brooklyn Nets squared off against the Phoenix Suns. Following their upset victory, the veteran guard's wife posted a photo of his exchange with a former MVP.

Schroder had a big night for the Nets, finishing with 29 points and three assists. He did a lot of his damage from beyond the arc, nailing four of his nine attempts. After drilling one of his made threes, Schroder was seen interacting with Suns star Kevin Durant.

After the win, Dennis Schroder's wife Ellen Schroder took to Instagram to celebrate the victory. She put a photo on her story of the mid-game interaction between her husband and Durant.

Since arriving in Brooklyn, Schroder has put up some of the best numbers of his long career. This season, he is averaging 18.6 points and 6.3 assists. Schroder's production hasn't been this high since he finished runner-up for Sixth Man of the Year with the OKC Thunder in 2020.

Dennis and Ellen tied the knot back in the summer of 2019 and have since had three children together.

Dennis Schroder has heated exchange with Ben Simmons during matchup vs Suns

While things seemed to be fun and games for Dennis Schroder during his encounter with Kevin Durant, that wasn't always the case. During the matchup, he was seen yelling at one of his teammates.

In the play that led to Schroder getting frustrated, Ben Simmons fired the ball out to him despite having a smaller defender on him in the post. The pass ended up going astray, leading to the veteran guard getting a turnover due to a backcourt violation.

As the broadcast went on, Dennis Schroder was seen yelling at Simmons while making his way down the court. He urged the former All-Star to go up and shoot instead of kicking the ball out in the scenario.

Dating back to his final days with the Philadelphia 76ers, Simmons' offensive aggressiveness has taken a big hit. This is one of many instances where he opted not to try and score despite having an advantage.

While that play was a bit of a lowlight, Simmons put together his best outing of the season in the Nets' win over the Suns on Wednesday. He nearly recorded a triple-double, finishing with 14 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. This marks a season-high for Simmons in points, and just the second time he's cracked double-figures this season.

With their victory over Phoenix, the Nets find themselves in eighth place in the Eastern Conference and just one game under .500. A strong start for a team expected to be in rebuilding mode.
