The Denver Nuggets ended a three-game road swing with a rout of the Atlanta Hawks 141-111 on Sunday. Nikola Jokic had another dazzling display, leading his team to a big win. The reigning MVP finished with 48 points, 14 rebounds, eight assists and three steals.
Russell Westbrook, starting in place of the injured Jamal Murray, had nine points, 11 assists, two steals and one block. Nuggets coach Mike Malone called him the Defensive Player of the Game.
Without Jalen Johnson and Bogdan Bogdanovic, the Hawks trailed 71-48 at halftime. They played better in the second half, but the Nuggets had already built enough cushion to cruise to the win.
Trae Young, limited to three points in the first three quarters, poured 12 points in the fourth quarter. He also had 10 assists, four rebounds and three steals. Larry Nance Jr., getting the start over the injured Johnson, contributed 16 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals.

The Denver Nuggets capped off a three-game road trip with a matchup against the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday. Nikola Jokic and Co. got off to a sizzling start, outscoring the hosts 38-23 in the first quarter. The reigning MVP had 13 points and four assists to lead his team to a commanding lead after the first 12 minutes ended.
Jokic did not start the second quarter but continued to dominate once he was back. The Joker had 12 points in the period, the last three coming off a 40-foot heave, giving the Nuggets a 71-48 halftime advantage.
The Hawks stepped up on both ends in the third quarter. Onyeka Okongwu and DeāAndre Hunter gave them a boost off the bench. Trae Young continued to have a rough shooting night but already had 10 assists in three quarters. Atlanta trailed 106-84 heading into the fourth quarter.
Trae Young, held to three points in the first three quarters, tried to rally his team to victory. Ice Trae scored 12 points, but it was too little and too late for the Hawks. Behind Nikola Jokic's game-long brilliance, the Nuggets rolled to a 141-111 victory.
