Derrick Rose's wife, Alaina Anderson, paid heartfelt tribute to two of the most important and closest people in her life. Anderson uploaded a picture of her husband and her grandmother sending them warm birthday wishes on her Instagram story.
"Happy Birthday Granny & Hubby 💖 The Loves of my Life🥲," Anderson captioned her story.
In the picture featured in her story, the backs of Derrick Rose and his wife's grandmother are seen. The duo is at a gathering, standing side by side, holding hands.
Derrick Rose and Aliana tied the knot last year on Sept. 7 after dating for almost seven years. As per People, the couple started dating in 2016, three years after the former NBA player broke up with his college sweetheart, Mieka Reese.
People also reported that D-Rose had proposed to Alaina at the Madison Square Garden in 2021. Rose has two kids with Alaina, London and Layla. Moreover, he shares his firstborn, Derrick Rose Jr., with his former girlfriend.

Rose's wife also shared a loving tribute for her husband on her Instagram handle. She uploaded multiple pictures of "The Windy City Assassin" from his time at the different franchises he played at. She accompanied her message in the caption of the post:
"The 1, NEVER the 2! Everything you do, you do with your family in mind, and we love and appreciate you more than words can say. We are beyond proud of you!
"You did what so many wouldn’t—you kept going, no matter what. You’ve inspired us all, and we’re incredibly lucky to have witnessed every part of your journey—the highs, the lows, and everything in between."
"Thank you for all the memories, Chicago, New York, Cleveland, Minnesota, Detroit and Memphis—we will miss you," she added.
The 2011 NBA Most Valuable Player retired without a ring. His career was plagued with injuries, which held him back from reaching even greater heights. However, he kept coming back to the hardwood, becoming an inspiration to the aspiring youth.
