Derrick Rose's wife Alaina Anderson playfully teases about his ‘big bag’ post featuring poignant message
Derrick Rose, still reeling from his retirement, made an Instagram post on Wednesday that caught the attention of his wife, Alaina Anderson. The post talked about his biggest blessing, and his wife's response to that was to tease him about the nature of the blessing via her Instagram story.
"HE THINK HE ME BIG BAG LOL," Alaina wrote.
The couple have been together while he was with the Chicago Bulls, and they started dating in 2016. And she has been with Derrick Rose all through. They got married on Sept. 7, 2023.
Their love could be felt in a heartfelt post he dedicated to her on her 30th birthday. They both share two children.
Derrick Rose called it quits after 16 seasons as a pro basketball player. The decision came after he was waived by the Memphis Grizzlies in September. The 2008 No. 1 draft pick by the Bulls earned the coveted Rookie of the Year Award alongside three All-Star selections.
Derrick Rose isn't Hall of Fame material, Chandler Parsons says
Derick Rose brought talk from all over the basketball world about his legacy when he retired. One such legacy is his position as a member of the Naismith Hall of Fame, but not everyone buys the idea.
Chandler Parsons, on Tuesday's episode of "Run It Back," talked about why the former Bulls player won't make the prestigious club of Hall of Famers.
"No, which is crazy," Parsons said. "I think longevity and health, that’s going to matter and that’s going to hurt him. There’s a lot of other guys with kind of more accolades, more All-Stars, better resumes that aren’t in. But I wouldn’t be mad if he was."
In 15 seasons, Rose, whose career was hampered by injuries, competed for six teams, winning the 2010-11 MVP. He averaged 17.4 points, 5.2 assists and 3.2 rebounds.
Basketball Reference lists his Hall of Fame probability as 10.5%.
