Devean George debunks Shaquille O'Neal prank story told by Ty Lue: "He never took a sh*t in my shoes"

Former LA Lakers player Devean George has debunked the story of Shaquille O'Neal allegedly defecating in his shoes as a prank. George called Ty Lue's story as a lie and thought that O'Neal did it with someone from the Orlando Magic.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, George was asked about the viral story of Shaq taking a dump in his shoes. The three-time NBA champion denied that it happened and praised his former teammate.

"Hell no, that's a lie, that's cap," George said. "And I know T-Lue started that, and it never happened. I think he did that to someone in Orlando. I don't remember the dude's name, but he did that in Orlando. But he never took a sh*t in my shoes."

He added:

"Shaq had nothing but love for us, to be honest. He's a big Santa Claus, but he always hid stuff, took stuff, pranks, made us do his errands. Shaq was Shaq, but in all, he was a great teammate. He's a good guy. I love him."

In an appearance on the "Knuckleads" podcast, LA Clippers coach Ty Lue went on to tell an insane Shaquille O'Neal prank story. Lue said that Shaq allegedly took a dump on Devean George's shoes, as the rookie forgot to buy donuts.

O'Neal was the face of the NBA at the time and the most dominant force in the league. He was on his way to his lone MVP award and first of four championships. George, meanwhile, was a rookie, while Lue was in his second season in the league.

"One day, Devean George, he was supposed to grab donuts or whatever," Lue said. "I don't know, but he didn't do it. So Shaq's like, 'Alright, I'm gonna get you'. So we're getting ready for a game and Devean, I think worked out on the court, came back and was getting taped or whatever."

He continued:

"Shaq goes in the bathroom, takes his shoe in there, and he sh*ts in his shoe. Takes his shoe, comes back. So, Devean George comes back, gets ready for the game and puts his shoe on. It was gross and totally unhygienic, but Shaq didn't care. Some of his pranks are known to be especially crude."

Rookie hazing has been a part of NBA culture for a long time. Shaquille O'Neal is known to be one of the best pranksters during his career. So it's not surprising to hear Ty Lue's story, but Devean George clearly called him for capping.
