Devin Booker salutes Bronny James for rocking 'EYBL' Nike Book 1s in the lab
Following a workout, LA Lakers guard Bronny James received some appreciation from the Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker. A photo of James wearing the 'EYBL' Nike Book 1s was posted on Instagram this past Wednesday.
Booker's first signature shoe with Nike took over the stores in December 2023 and has kept an upward momentum.
Booker's signature shoe has been getting love as of late. With different colorways set to be released in the future, fans and even other players are enjoying his signature pair. The latest player to show love was the Lakers rookie.
The pair boasts a bright yellow colorway with a unique pattern on the Nike Swoosh logo. The pair is a special edition that pays homage to Booker's basketball journey and his connection with Nike's Elite Youth Basketball League, according to Mario Briguglio.
The pair won't be released to the public but James got his hands on the limited edition sneakers. The phrase 'EYBL Fam’ Reunion' can be seen around the shoe. Even Booker's dog, Haven, is featured on the back of the shoes.
When the All-NBA player saw the youngster wear his sneakers, he couldn't help but show some love. The Suns' star left three saluting emojis in the comments section.
The limited edition sneakers are exclusively for the young Nike athletes who had a tournament in July. Other colorways for Booker's signature shoes are the 'I’ll Do It', 'Halloween' and 'Python'.
The 'Halloween' colorway is set to release in October 2024. It features a Frankenstein-like design, capturing the Halloween vibes. The 'Python', on the other hand, will be released this month. The pair features a premium python texture that fans will surely love.

Former Suns star expects Devin Booker to have a great 2024-25 season
Over the summer, Devin Booker showed everyone how great a player he is on the court. With Team USA, he did the little things and was a key to them winning the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Their head coach, Steve Kerr, gave him his flowers and called him the team's "unsung MVP."
After his outstanding run, the expectations for him for the 2024-25 NBA season have increased. Former Suns star Charles Barkley expects the All-Star guard to take on a leadership role next season.
"He's gotta have to take the leadership role," Barkley said on The Bill Simmons Podcast. "I think he's reluctant because people assume KD is their best player… It’s gotta be Booker. He's gotta take a serious leadership role, people gonna listen cause he's a great player."
With his great summer, Booker will likely take over for the Suns next season.
