Did Drake release a LeBron James diss track? Debunking viral tweet

LeBron James' relationship with Drake has been in the news since the LA Lakers star attended Kendrick Lamar's show in Los Angeles. James, along with his wife, attended the concert while Drake's beef with Lamar had already taken a flight.

Earlier today, a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, went viral. The post was a LeBron James diss track in Drake's voice. The lyrics shaded the Lakers superstar and said the singer couldn't wait for James to retire. He was also heard saying that he was "not Kobe Bryant to us."

Breaking News! The diss track is not real. It is a fake diss track that has been generated by AI using Drake's voice (an easy thing to do these days). Interestingly, the AI-generated diss track was posted on X right after the release of 'Blue Green Red' only a few days ago.

After James attended Lamar's concert, it was considered by many that the four-time NBA champion was choosing his side in the Drake-Lamar beef. However, just a few days ago, on August 6, James posted a sneaker by Drake on his IG story.

James posted the story on his IG with Drake's NOCTA x Nike Air Force 1 'Certified Lover Boy' shoe in white. The sole of the shoe had 'Love You Forever' written on it. He also captioned the story with an infinity sign.

Drake's close friend leaves LeBron James out of a congratulatory post on social media

Since LeBron James went to Kendrick Lamar's concert, Drake hasn't tried to shade or even take a shot at the Lakers star. However, it doesn't feel like everyone around Drake is cool with the Lakers star, especially Chubbs.

Chubbs is perhaps the closest associate of Drake. According to The Fader, he is "Drake's muscle," and one of the people the pop star regularly plays basketball with.

After the Team USA, led by James, won the gold medal at the Paris Olympics, Chubbs (he is also head of Drake's security), posted an Instagram story.

In it, he congratulated Kevin Durant, Steph Curry and Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum. However, the biggest name missing from the congratulatory post was LeBron James.

James was arguably the biggest star on Team USA and not congratulating him is sure to make his stand clear on the matter. Moreover, given Drake's close relationship with the NBA star, it was an unlikely thing for Chubbs to exclude the 'King'.

However, in the midst of all the news, it remains to be seen how the story unfolds in the coming months.
