"Did you just call me African?" - Jimmy Butler jokes around with a fan after overhearing him at grocery store

Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler had a hilarious interaction with a young fan inside a grocery store. The six-time All-Star was greeted by a young fan but seemingly misheard what was said and asked him to repeat himself.

"Good afternoon," the fan said.
"Who? Did you just call me African?" Butler asked.

The fan repeated what he told Butler.

"No, afternoon."
"Oh, good afternoon? I thought you said, 'You a good African.'"

The interaction drew some laughs from the people around.

What Jimmy Butler should do to get a $200+ million contract extension from the Heat

Jimmy Butler is coming off a great season where he averaged 20.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists. Butler led the Heat to the eighth seed with a 46-36 record. However, their postseason performance wasn't enough for them to contend for the title.

Butler is up for a contract extension with his three-year, $146 million deal set to expire after the 2025-26 NBA season. He has a player option, but he's hoping to get an extension although the odds are stacked against him.

Anthony Pasciolla of Sports Illustrated analyzed what Butler should do to get a max extension from Miami. One of the major issues the player needs to address is his health. Since joining the Heat in 2019, the star forward hasn't had a season where he played at least 70 games.

According to Pasciolla, there's a possibility that the Heat could opt to move on from him if things start shakily next season.

Miami wants a reliable star, and while Butler has led it to the Finals twice, his health issues have cost the team during the postseason.
