Dillon Brooks' girlfriend Mirna Habib makes her love known for the Rockets star with cozy snaps on special day

Dillon Brooks is known for his fiery personality and history of altercations with the biggest names in the NBA throughout his eight-year career. He got some support today, however, from his girlfriend via a few Instagram stories celebrating his birthday. Habib, a Fashion Nova model, accompanied the photos with loving words for her partner.

In her posts, Habib described Brooks as someone who she enjoys being around. She and Brooks have a history of expressing their feelings via social media on each other's birthdays and anniversaries. Their posts always contain uplifting notes, including Habib's post today.

Habib's stories show her and Brooks enjoying their time together, even during something as simple as shopping.

The post is a welcome change of pace for Dillon Brooks, who is one of the more polarizing players in today's NBA. His comments about taking on superstars in the playoffs have gone viral, exposing him to a lot of potential ridicule from fans and other players in the league. That behavior is one of the main reasons why the Memphis Grizzlies saw fit to move on from him back in the 2023 offseason.

Could Habib's posts motivate Dillon Brooks to continue his improved play on the Houston Rockets?

When he arrived in Houston, Brooks was expected to provide a veteran presence to a young team as well as spearhead the team's defense. One and a half seasons later, the Houston Rockets have gotten all of that and more. Brooks leads the NBA's leading rebounding team and fourth-ranked defense, as well as serving as a mentor to the younger players on the roster, including Amen Thompson and Tari Eason.

Dillon Brooks often plays up in the Rockets' starting lineup, playing the power forward position at only 6'6". That hasn't stopped him from putting together another solid campaign, averaging 13 points per game on 40.7% shooting from the field and 36.9% from long range. He has the Rockets in contention at 28-14, good for the second spot in the Western Conference.

Brooks has found a home with his new team and Mirna Habib, using the support from both to fuel his play as the Rockets continue to compete at the top of the West.
