Drake superfan Stephen Curry seems peeved at 'Not Like Us' as LeBron James bats for it: "It's not the only song in America!"
LeBron James and Stephen Curry played another game together for Team USA. They led the American squad to a commanding win against Serbia in the third game of their 2024 tour. Team USA got the 105-79 win behind a big performance from Curry, who scored 24 points, while James added 11 units.
After the game was over, the two Akron-born stars were spotted talking, with Curry showing his feelings about Kendrick Lamar's hit song, 'Not Like Us'. Curry, known for being close to Drake and a fan of his music, had a short but strong message about the diss track.
"Damn it with this song," Curry said. "It's not the only song in America."
"I love it," LeBron James replied while other stars like Joel Embiid and Anthony Davis laughed at the interaction.
Ever since this song was released, a lot of people sided with Kendrick Lamar in the seemingly dead feud with Drake. The Canadian rapper responded to Lamar's comments back in May, dropping two songs against the Compton native, but once Lamar counter-attacked, Drake has been quiet.
Most NBA players appear to have followed this path. Last month during a Juneteenth show, Lamar brought Russell Westbrook and DeMar DeRozan on stage to perform 'Not Like Us.'
LeBron James, who was previously recorded vibing to this song at a club, watched the show among the public, giving his support to Kendrick once again.
As for Curry, he's not that into the song, as his history with Drake isn't new and he has even got fined for hanging out with the Canadian rapper.
Steve Kerr once fined Drake, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green for being late to the Warriors plane
Back in 2021, Steve Kerr shared an interesting story with reporters. He mentioned that he once fined Drake, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green each $500 for being late to a team plane.
"We had a team rule at the time, that you could bring a friend on the plane a couple times a year," Kerr said. "Unbeknownst to me, Steph decided to use one of his slots for Drake. Drake got on the plane that night with Draymond and Steph, and I fined all three of them for being late, and Drake paid his $500 fine."
Stephen Curry once faced Drake's NBA team in the NBA Finals and succumbed to it, but not even that could change his feelings about the Toronto Raptors ambassador.
