"Drake wrote down a long list of names": Hip-hop media leader implies DeMar DeRozan had Toronto altercation coming for a while
The beef between DeMar DeRozan and Drake has taken off. After Drake's comments against DeRozan during the game between the Toronto Raptors and the Sacramento Kings on Saturday, hip-hop YouTuber Livingston Allen, also known as DJ Akademiks, revealed that Drake may have a list of people who left his side.
He took to X and wrote that Drake listed down those who were not supporting him anymore.
"Drake wrote down a long list of names of ni**as who switched up once they thought he was done," Akademiks posted.
DeMar DeRozan and Drake had a good relationship when DeRozan still played for the Raptors. However, he was sent to the San Antonio Spurs in a trade for Kawhi Leonard in 2018.
Earlier this year, DeRozan appeared in a video of Kendrick Lamar's diss track for Drake. Drake said during the game's broadcast on Saturday that if the Raptors retire DeRozan's jersey, he will remove it from the rafters.
"If you ever put a DeRozan banner up ill go up there and pull it down myself," Drake said.
DeMar DeRozan has responded to Drake with an Instagram story. However, there is a chance that a new rivalry could develop between him and his former team.
DeMar DeRozan takes a savage jab at Drake after the rapper's comments
After Drake's comments, many expected DeRozan to fire back. After the game, when a reporter asked him about what Drake said, he had a savage response.
"Well, he’s going to have a long way to climb to take it down," DeRozan said. "Tell him good luck."
Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" diss track has a line where he takes a shot at Raptors fans, including Drake.
"I’m glad DeRoz’ came home, y’all didn’t deserve him neither."
Sacramento and Toronto will once again face each other on Wednesday, with the Kings hosting the game at Golden 1 Center.
