Draymond Green has a hilarious 'Nipple' analogy to describe viral photo with 7'5" Victor Wembanyama
Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green starred in a viral picture with San Antonio Spurs big man Victor Wembanyama. On Saturday night, the four-time NBA champion was guarding the second-year star when a photo of Green standing next to Wembanyama went viral thanks to the height difference between the players.
Green reacted to the picture on Wednesday's edition of his podcast, making jokes about it. Co-host Baron Davis brought up the picture and asked Green to describe what it was like to go against Wembanyama.
"It's crazy. He don't see me and you know what? I can't say what I was going to say, but I saw this. I'm like, 'Yo, the top of my head at bro nipple.' I am starting to get in a defensive stance, because what I'm looking at is, he's in the corner and he's coming and he gets this pindown.
"I'm looking because I know the pin down is coming, so I gotta get ready--I'm trying to see what angle is this guy gonna come set this screen at, because if I trail him and he gets a half step, he's 7'6", is over, I can't contest the shot," Green said. (24:44 mark)
Besides getting a picture that will probably be remembered by a lot of fans, Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs beat Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors 104-94 on Saturday. The Frenchman put on a solid performance with 25 points, seven rebounds and nine assists, followed by the eventual Western Conference Player of the Week Harrison Barnes' 22 points, eight rebounds and two assists.
Green only scored one point but grabbed seven rebounds and dished seven assists. This was the third loss of the season for the Warriors, who would succumb to the Brooklyn Nets on Monday, 128-120.
