Draymond Green’s mother Mary Babers drops 1-word reaction on Warriors star’s neat assist

Draymond Green’s mother, Mary Babers, was thrilled with her son’s playmaking and court vision on Sunday. Green put on a passing clinic during the Golden State Warriors’ commanding 127-116 victory over the OKC Thunder at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.

Green dished out 11 assists, but his mother was especially excited about one standout moment when he set up teammate Buddy Hield for an effortless dunk. The highlight play occurred with 6:15 left in the third quarter, with the Warriors leading 85-68.

Bringing the ball up the floor, the four-time NBA champion threaded the basketball between two defenders and delivered a perfectly timed pass to find Hield cutting from the corner. Hield caught the pass and soared for a powerful one-handed dunk, completing the play in style.

Draymond’s mother, Mary, shared a video clip of the play on her Instagram story, adding a one-word caption to praise her son’s playmaking skills.

The former Defensive Player of the Year played a key role in getting the Warriors' offense rolling in a challenging road game. The veteran forward finished with 8 points, 4 rebounds and 11 assists, shooting an efficient 3 of 5 from the field, including 2 of 3 from beyond the arc.

Excellent start to the season for Draymond Green

Steve Kerr's Golden State Warriors claimed the top spot in the Western Conference standings after their victory over the OKC Thunder. Draymond Green’s consistent performance has been a key factor in the Warriors' impressive start to the season. Steph Curry and Co. now hold an 8-2 record through their first 10 games.

Green has played in every game so far, starting the season by shooting a career-high percentage from beyond the arc. The four-time NBA All-Star is averaging 8.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.0 blocks per game, shooting 44.1% from the field, including 45.2% from 3-point range.

Next, Green and the Warriors will take on the Dallas Mavericks in an NBA Cup game at Chase Center on Tuesday. This game will be particularly emotional for the Warriors and Green as they face off against Klay Thompson, who won four championships alongside them with Golden State.
