Draymond Green's wife Hazel Renee hints at her presidential pick with 'bathroom stall' note
Draymond Green's wife and actress Hazel Renee hinted at her pick for Election Day by sharing a note from a bathroom stall. The 2024 presidential election will be held on Nov. 5 with either Kamala Harris or Donald Trump becoming the No. 47 of the White House.
In a post on her Instagram stories, Renee seemingly endorsed Harris for the upcoming election. She took a photo of a note in a bathroom stall encouraging women to vote for the incumbent vice president.
"No one knows who you voted for. Vote Harris! For women's rights, health and freedom," the note read.
In solidarity with the right to vote, the NBA didn't schedule any games on Election Day. It's the third straight year that the league has done it, with many ads about it along the way. The NBA wants everyone to exercise their voice and to make it count.
Draymond Green has been involved in several campaigns about voting rights although he previously thought that it didn't matter when he was younger. Green told Andscape in a 2020 interview that he didn't vote in the 2016 presidential election where Donald Trump became president.
"I didn't vote because I was just thinking our vote don’t matter," Green said. "We've seen several people in the popular vote did not win so, our vote don't matter. When you look at the voting numbers, a lot of young people didn't turn out, myself being one of them and especially a lot of young African American people."
"And it's taken me to get educated to understand how important it is for us to exercise our right to vote and not listen to the garbage that's being put out there and giving us all the false reasons that we can't vote."
Draymond Green's teammate Steph Curry endorsed Kamala Harris
In addition to Draymond Green's wife, his teammate Steph Curry also endorsed Kamala Harris for president. Curry made a surprise appearance via recorded video at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago this September. He encouraged people to support Harris' candidacy.
"Together, we can do all things and continue to inspire the world," Curry said, according to NBC Sports Bay Area. "That's why I believe that Kamala, as president, could bring that unity back and continue to move our country forward. ... I got to visit Kamala with my team at the White House last year, and I can tell you one thing I knew then and definitely know now: The Oval Office suits her well."
Green's coach Steve Kerr and close friend LeBron James also endorsed Harris as their president.
