Dwyane Wade's co-parent Aja Metoyer shares fun moments from ex-Warrior Nick Young’s daughter's birthday bash
Dwyane Wade's youngest son's mother, Aja Metoyer, shared heartwarming pictures and videos from the NBA champion and former Warriors player Nick Young's daughter's birthday celebration. Metoyer shared four videos from the event on her Instagram story for her 30.8K followers.
Metoyer's first story featured a video showing off the birthday party venue. Four kids can be seen standing on the stage wearing raincoats as an announcer introduced the birthday event. The announer welcomed the attendees to the "Happy Slimey Birthday" as he held a placard with the same words in front of the audience.
The kids wearing the raincoats were standing under large flowers, and lettering above the showers were lit in blue color and read, "Sloomoo Falls." The announcer informed the audience and the kids on stage that he would count down from three to one and the event would commence. After he counted down to one, the showers dropped blue slimy liquid on the kids on the stage.
In the second and third videos, the game continued but the contestants changed. The announcer repeated the process where he counted down to one and then dropped slime on the kids. After the initial slime shower, the announcer asked the fourth contestant a question. The fourth contestant passed the question to the third one who got it incorrect and everyone had to bear an extra slime shower.
The fourth video on Metoyer's story featured Nick Young holding his daughter in his arms as the kids sang "Happy Birthday" to her. His daughter then blew out the candles on the cake and everyone cheered.
Dwyane Wade almost broke up with his wife Gabrielle Union before telling her about his son with Aja Metoyer
Dwyane Wade had to walk a rocky path in his relationship with Gabrielle Union after he found out about his youngest son, Xavier Wade, whom he conceived with Metoyer. During his appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast on Sept. 21, 2023, the three-time NBA champion revealed that he was trying to look for a way out from his relationship with Gabrielle Union.
"I tried to pussyfoot around it, I tried to break up with her," Wade said.
Later on, Wade accepted that he had to have the talk about his son with his wife as he loved and cared about her.
"You’re thinking about it all, it’s all scary,” Wade said. “But you know that this is going to hurt someone that you’ve been building a relationship with and a life with. No matter what people say on the outside, or what people want to think, ultimately you gotta sit with you, and you gotta sit with this person, and I had to sit with my wife and have this conversation."
By the end of 2013, Union forgave her future husband Dwyane Wade, and got back together with him. The couple got married the following year on Aug. 30, 2014.
