Dwyane Wade’s wife Gabrielle Union reshares series of tweets accusing NFL of double standards with respect to MAGA and BLM

While Dwyane Wade's wife Gabrielle Union and the rest of his family had a massive weekend celebrating the Hall of Famer at his statue unveiling ceremony in Miami, she also took to social media to weigh in on a controversial situation that took place during an NFL game on Sunday.

After the San Francisco 49ers overcame an early deficit to beat the Dallas Cowboys, Nick Bosa crashed his teammate's post-game interview while wearing a Make America Great Again (MAGA) hat supporting Donald Trump's campaign ahead of the US presidential election this fall.

After the game, Bosa declined to answer questions about the situation while speaking with media members during his post-game press conference.

In response, Dwyane Wade's wife, Gabrielle Union, decided to reshare some posts on X, formerly known as Twitter, voicing her disapproval. One post she reposted was from Bosa in 2016, where he called Colin Kaepernick a clown for kneeling during the national anthem.

Another tweet she reposted was accusing the NFL of double standards on Black Lives Matter:

"If the NFL doesn't treat Bosa the way it treated Kaepernick, it's basically admitting it was just racism the whole time."

Gabrielle Union reacts to controversial Dwyane Wade statue in Miami

On Saturday, Dwyane Wade and his family attended a statue unveiling ceremony outside of the Kaseya Center in Miami. The Heat previously announced that Wade, who was enshrined in the Hall of Fame with the Class of 2023, would be immortalized with a statue outside of the arena.

When the statue was unveiled, however, it was met with mixed reactions. Wade's son, Zaire Wade, was seen looking at his dad and appearing to hold back a laugh, while the three-time NBA champ shook his head and smiled.

Some took his head shaking in disbelief that he was being immortalized with a statue. However, others cracked jokes that Wade and his son were in disbelief at the statue, which some have said doesn't actually look like the Miami legend.

While the jokes continued to pour in, Wade's wife, Gabrielle Union, shared her reaction via Instagram comments, simply writing a series of fire emojis to indicate her approval under the Heat's post.

Since the unveiling, Dwyane Wade has gone to bat for the artists who designed the sculpture, saying that if he wanted it to look exactly like him, he would stand outside the arena so fans could pose with him.
