"Embiid scores 22 points in 1 quarter"- NBA fans are not impressed with another Nikola Jokic triple-double as he loses ground in the MVP race
The Denver Nuggets are back in the win column. Nikola Jokic carried the team to a 108-102 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday night. Jokic had another triple-double, recording 22 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists in 36 minutes of action. His most recent output has kept him near the top of this year's MVP race. However, NBA fans aren't too impressed.
It appears that some fans don't want to see Jokic win a third consecutive MVP Award. While the "Joker" is nearly averaging a triple-double, fans feel like there are other candidates such as Joel Embiid who are more deserving. Embiid is averaging 33.5 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.7 blocks, and 1.1 steals.

Nikola Jokic has fans debating on social media after notching another triple-double
Jokic was averaging a triple-double for the majority of the season. No player has averaged a triple-double since Russell Westbrook did it with the Washington Wizards during the 2020-21 campaign. However, Jokic's stats have dropped below that threshold. He is averaging 24.7 points, 11.9 rebounds, 9.9 assists, and 1.2 steals. But a triple-double is within reach.
If he ends up averaging a triple-double, he will put himself in a good position to win the MVP. While many fans are hoping for the best, some are tired of seeing him win the award. His stats mean little to them.
Fans on social media are now debating whether Jokic should win the award. Here are some of their comments:

The Denver Nuggets are first in the Western Conference with a 48-24 record. They have a four-game cushion over the Sacramento Kings and Memphis Grizzlies.
The Nuggets will finish their east-coast road trip against the Washington Wizards on March 22. They return home to kick off a three-game homestand against the Milwaukee Bucks on March 25.
