Ex-Warriors guard calls out Giannis Antetokounmpo's squad while breaking down Bucks' offensive woes
Giannis Antetokounmpo has been the Milwaukee Bucks' primary offensive threat this season, with some critics arguing the team relies too heavily on him. On Saturday, former Warriors guard Gilbert Arenas called out the Bucks for their overreliance on Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.
Arenas claimed that none of the players on the Bucks roster are improving despite the Greek Freak's improvement to his game.
"That's their problem, it's the offense. It's two people. It's Giannis and it's Dame. Everybody else seems like they don't know what's going on in this offense," Arenas said.
"Upside is, Giannis seems to have changed his game a little bit. He's playing mid-range game, he's posting up a little bit. I like what I'm seeing from him. I like what I'm seeing from Dame. Everybody else, I'm sorry."
The Bucks' 124-101 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night served as just another reminder of the team's offensive struggles. Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 33 points, 14 rebounds, and three assists, while Khris Middleton followed with 14 points, three rebounds, and three assists.
The offensive troubles were in full glare, especially with Damian Lillard out with a calf injury. However, the Bucks have still shown flashes with their statement win over OKC Thunder in the Emirates Cup Finals.
What's next for Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks?
Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks will hope to bounce back from their loss against the Cavaliers when they welcome the Washington Wizards to the Fiserv Forum, Wisconsin on Saturday.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as questionable. He is averaging 32.7 points, 11.6 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.5 blocks per game while shooting 61.3% from the field this season.
Tip-off is slated for 8:00 pm EST and can be watched on TV via FanDuel Sports Network - Wisconsin and Monumental Sports Network for home and away fans respectively.
It can also be streamed on fuboTV and NBA League Pass.
