"F**k all this indirect s**t" - Kwame Brown dubs LeBron James 'coward' for ignoring Candace Owens' call out on Diddy controversy

This week, LeBron James found himself on the receiving end of criticism from the outspoken, and often times controversial, political commentator Candace Owens. In the latest episode of her podcast, Owens called out James for his connection to Diddy. Since then, James has remained silent on the matter, with NBA veteran Kwame Brown now weighing in.

In a lengthy live video on his YouTube account heading into the weekend that lasted two hours, Brown talked about a wide range of topics. At one point, he spoke about the criticism James has faced for his connection to Diddy, and his previous praise of Diddy's parties.

Given that James hasn't spoken out against Diddy since the rapper's arrest, Brown feels as though the four-time NBA champ and future Hall of Famer is a "coward" for staying silent regarding Diddy.

Following James' Instagram clap-back at Brown earlier in the week regarding his on-court skills, Brown called out the LA star:

"Now that you want to talk to me and get indirect with me, hopefully you get indirect about Candace Owens and the Diddy party.
"Why some of these n***gas gotta be so indirect all the time? You supposed to be a grown ass man n***a big as you is come out and say something to people n***a f**k all this indirect s**t I think that's corwardism. Yeah you supposed to be the king, n***a King talk directly to people."

Quote begins shortly after the 38-minute mark.

Looking at LeBron James' previous comments about Diddy, and Candace Owens' callout of NBA star

Four years ago, LeBron James praised Diddy during a live stream with the rapper. The pair had been connected for years, going all the way back to 2014 when they were photographed together at NBA All-Star weekend.

In 2020, however, during a live stream, LeBron James said something that many fans are now using against him. At the time, the NBA star stated:

"Ain't no party like a Diddy party"

The comment got a round of applause from those in the background of Diddy's video, and got approval from Diddy himself who said:

"That's what's up!"

Now, the video is going viral once again after the allegations of Diddy's alleged "freak offs" have landed the rapper in prison.

During a recent episode of her podcast, Candace Owens called out LeBron James for not speaking out against Diddy:

"Where are you, King? I say to Black America all the time, bring me your kings and bring me your queens. These are the people you are supposed to follow, follow into the streets as you burn down your neighborhood."

Of course, it's important to note that James wasn't named in the prosecution documents, and hasn't been named as someone who was a part of the alleged "freak offs" that have landed Diddy in prison.
