Atlanta Hawks and Quin Snyder have a mutual interest

Reports have stated the Atlanta Hawks' interest in Quin Snyder, but according to The Athletic's Shams Charania, it's mutual. The former Utah Jazz head coach seems ready to take charge with a different team. The Hawks emerged as an intriguing option for him at this stage.

Snyder gets a team capable of making the playoffs and has plenty of talent at their disposal. The team has one of the best starting units in the league, with stars like Trae Young, Dejounte Murray, John Collins, DeAndre Hunter and Clint Capela. It's a young core with tremendous upside, but they haven't unlocked their potential.

Before adding Murray, the Hawks had already made the playoffs two years in a row. In 2021, they made it to the Conference Finals, defeating the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers in the first two rounds before falling to the eventual champions Milwaukee Bucks in six games.

The Hawks could do better with a new voice in the locker room, while Snyder will be keen to explore the change of scenery and turn another young team into a potential contender. His resume speaks for itself, and if he can help the team improve on defense, the Hawks could be a threat.
