Rui Hachimura saves Anthony Davis and the Lakers

Rui Hachimura delivered a game-changing play after Anthony Davis missed two consecutive free throws with 12.1 seconds left and the Lakers holding a narrow 101-99 lead. Following Davis' second missed free throw, Hachimura made a crucial tap-out rebound, giving Austin Reaves the opportunity to draw a foul.

Reaves stepped up and confidently sank both free throws, sealing the victory for the Purple and Gold. The combined efforts of Hachimura and Reaves ultimately bailed out Davis, who once again faltered in a clutch moment, particularly at the free-throw line.

After the game, Hachimura reflected on his pivotal play that helped secure the Lakers’ win.

"I saw the subbed in Alex Len so they knew it was gonna be a big rebound play," the Lakers forward said after the game. "There were three big men under there so I knew the other guy next to me was gonna go to AD. So I knew if I pushed him a little bit I could kind of get a good position and I could tap it out.
"I've been doing that the whole season literally, you guys have seen it. But that was much-needed. I kind of felt bad I missed the last 3 in the corner so I was like I gotta get back something for the team. It was a good win."

Meanwhile, the Lakers made it three wins against the Sacramento Kings this season after their latest triumph against Mike Brown's team.
