Fans lose it over Tony Lanez alleging that Ben Simmons and Meghan Thee Stallion hooked up
NBA fans have been rushing to social media to share their thoughts on the latest news regarding Ben Simmons. According to rapper Torey Lanez, the Brooklyn Nets All-Star hooked up with female recording artist Meghan Thee Stallion.
Ben Simmons has been known to date famous people in the past, but this is on a whole other level. Some of the main reactions from fans involve the nature of how this news came about.
Tory Lanez allegedly shot at his ex-girlfriend Megan Thee Stallion back in July 2020, leading the two to fight it out in the courts. The trial began on Monday, December 12, with Megan accusing the Canadian rapper of shooting her in the foot.
Given the nature of the case, fans are using it as an excuse to dunk on Ben Simmons and the weak points in his game. In his five playing seasons, he has only attempted a total of 35 three-point shots.

With Meghan Thee Stallion being added to the list of famous women connected to Ben Simmons, some fans applauded the three-time All-Star. A few even went as far as to say he has had more success off the basketball court than on it.

While most fans jokingly applauded Simmons, some found a way to do so and sneak in a backhanded compliment. It was brought up that he wanted to keep his focus on basketball but mentioned his poor averages to start this season.

After putting up All-Star-level numbers during his time with the Philadelphia 76ers, Simmons is averaging 8.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 5.8 assists for the Brooklyn Nets.
The final joke brought up by fans was that his relationship with Meghan Thee Stallion caused his injury last year. After being traded to Brooklyn for James Harden, Simmons missed the rest of the season due to a back injury during his ramp-up to play. The back issues have unfortunately lingered into this year as well.
