Fans merciless as LeBron James said he listens to Beethoven before games: “Ludacris Van beethomie”
LA Lakers star forward LeBron James recently said that he listens to music by German composer and pianist Ludwig van Beethoven to relax before games. For most players, this wouldn’t even make headlines. However, every comment from James goes under the microscope.
James’ alleged history of sharing lies with the media has now made many NBA fans skeptical of everything he says. So naturally, as the news of James’ musical preference went viral on NBA Twitter, fans had some pretty brutal reactions.
On that note, here are some of the harshest NBA fan reactions to LeBron James saying he listens to Beethoven before games.

Most NBA fans who saw LeBron James listens to Beethoven immediately jumped to the conclusion that he was lying. One fan even questioned whether James knows Beethoven’s full name.
“Why is he lying for no reason?” another fan asked.
“Ludacris Van beethomie,” another joked.
Some fans also started to question why James even bothers making up lies to try to impress people when he’s already so accomplished.
“Bron knows he doesn't need to do anything more to impress us right? 😭😂,” one fan said.
Meanwhile, others claimed that James just likes to be different.
“He loves to make up things so sound cultured and different. Remember when he acted like the only person to drink wine,” one fan said.
Many fans then started producing memes related to the news. They did so using the picture from LeBron James’ infamous interview where he appeared to lie about predicting NBA legend Kobe Bryant’s 81-point game.
“‘I remember him dropping his 3rd Symphony and telling him ‘this is gonna be a hit,’’” one fan captioned the meme.
“When Beethoven was a child I heard him play and I knew he was gonna be a star,” another fan captioned it.
“‘I was actually there with Beethoven when he wrote the moonlight sonata’ head ahhhh,” another captioned the meme.
“‘Me and Beet have a personal connection with each other. I have full access to his upcoming album all to myself before it drops,’” yet another captioned it.
As usual, many fans also started coming up with new nicknames for James using different variations of his first name.
“LeBeethoven,” one fan said.
“LeElegant,” another fan said.
“LeClassical,’ another added.
Some also joked that James won’t have to worry about messing up lyrics if he listens to classical music. This comes as James has been known to struggle with remembering song lyrics in the past.
“At least he won’t mess up the lyrics,” one fan joked.
Another fan jokingly questioned whether James listens to music the way he reads books. This comes following a long-running joke that James only reads the first page of every book he starts reading.
“You think he listens to Beethoven like he reads books before games? Because then he only really hears the first note of Beethoven,” the fan joked.
Finally, multiple fans joked that James probably can’t even name one Beethoven song. Most also referenced the time that James couldn’t name his favorite moment from his self-proclaimed favorite movie The Godfather trilogy.
“Lebron when they ask him what his favorite Beethoven piece is,” one fan captioned an image of someone in a state of shock.
“Reporter: LeBron, what's your favorite Beethoven composition?” another captioned James’ aforementioned interview about The Godfather.
“What’s his favorite Beethoven quote?"
"For me, its just that, too many different phrases, uhh and too many different lines in that work of art. Too uhh, just categorize one. I mean, each song is 9 hours long, what do you want me too do?" another joked.
At this point, LeBron James may be better off just refraining from sharing his personal preferences to avoid any unnecessary scrutiny.
