“I need to know what you’re drinking”, “Stick to figuring out the salary cap”, “Mf don’t even play D” - Fans mock NBA analyst as he picks Steph Curry over LeBron James as second-best player ever
Steph Curry and LeBron James are two of the top stars in the NBA. They are also interestingly linked from the fact that they were born in the same hospital in Akron, Ohio.
Over the past season, people have debated where Curry ranks on the GOAT list. ESPN's Bobby Marks said he would place Steph Curry in the top three, ahead of LeBron James and Kareem Abdul-Jabaar.
Fans and colleagues laid into the NBA analyst for his controversial take.
One fan believed Marks made the remarks because of his history with LeBron James. Some fans, meanwhile, praised James in the Twitter feed.
While Marks received most of the criticism, Steph Curry caught the rest.
What exactly did Bobby Marks say about Steph Curry that led to him being mocked?
Bobby Marks controversially placed Steph Curry ahead of LeBron James in his all-time list. Marks hailed James as a phenomenal player, but said Curry reminded him of Michael Jordan in his prime.
"I actually think Steph Curry is the second-greatest player of all time, right behind Michael Jordan. Curry has this instinct what I saw with Jordan, where anytime he has the ball, you think it's going to go in. ... I would put Curry ahead of LeBron James right now as far as that No. 2 guy."
"I saw Jordan in his prime in the ‘90s," he added. "Curry reminds me a lot of that offensively where he is a threat to beat you in a lot of different ways."
Both Curry and James have won four NBA titles and are easily among the best players of their generation.
