Michael Jordan pulls up to Charlotte Hornets game, puts up long face as Hornets lose again; Fans didn't hold back: “Mike be like "sub me in"”

Michael Jordan's Charlotte Hornets squared off with the Orlando Magic today. Throughout the course of the first half, the Magic battered the 20-45 Hornets, putting together a 16-point lead going into the half. With his team helplessly down by 22 points in the third, Jordan couldn't help but hang his head in frustration on the sidelines.

The TV broadcast camera flashed the camera over to Michael Jordan court-side, who looked both frustrated and crushed at the same time. Fans quickly took to social media to weigh in on the game, and Jordan's hilarious reaction.

The state of the Michael Jordan's Charlotte Hornets

This season has been a wildly disappointing one for the Charlotte Hornets, as they currently sit in 14th place in the Eastern Conference. Throughout the course of their 65 games this season, star guard LaMelo Ball has been able to suit up for just 34 games.

The season saw Ball listed on the team's official injury report in both October and November with ankle problems that saw him miss the early portion of the season. After returning in November, Ball dealt with lingering left ankle problems in January before suffering a season-ending ankle fracture last week.

At the time of the injury, the Hornets believed that they were rounding the corner. With Ball back and shooting lights out, the team was eager to attempt a run at the play-in tournament. As Gordon Hayward reiterated, Ball is instrumental in the team's success.

As Clifford pointed out after the team's loss to the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday, in Ball's absence, they will have to step up in other areas.

"It's important for us to understand once you have a way to play, you got to commit to that. From now until the end of the year, we're not going to be scoring 135 [points] anymore. We'll play a lot better than this offensively. But we're going to have to defend, rebound, and be low turnover every night."

With their latest loss to the Orlando Magic, the Michael Jordan-owned Hornets are now 5-5 in their last five and riding a two-game losing streak after Wednesday's loss. The team has a tough road ahead, with matchups against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday and the New York Knicks on Tuesday.
