Bradley Beal's decision to stay in Washington could haunt him
Much like Damian Lillard, Bradley Beal is one of the few players still on the team that drafted them. Like Lillard, Beal is also yet to deliver a championship to his side despite putting up astonishing numbers.
Unfortunately for Beal, the situation in Washington does not favor him in the slightest. The Wizards do not have a solid unit and are coming off a very poor season. While players like Kyle Kuzma and Kristaps Porzingis have some promise, the absence of star power is a huge disadvantage for the Wizards as they look to get back to the top of the NBA pyramid.
The absence of a primary ball handler and playmaker only adds to their woes. The Wizards have been linked tied to Indiana Pacers guard Malcolm Brogdon. Talks are ongoing, but the chances of them working out a deal seem unlikely.
As such, opting to stay with Washington could prove to be disastrous for Beal. Although he would be in a stable position financially, he is unlikely to ever win a ring with the Wizards unless drastic changes occur in the next couple of seasons.
