Fans ridicule Ja Morant for his ‘guns-out’ celebration against Houston Rockets: “Dude wants to be hood so bad lmao”
Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has been in the hotseat of late after reports emerged that he had assaulted a teenager. Morant did himself no favours when he pulled a not-so-family-friendly celebration after a basket from Desmond Bane against the Houston Rockets.
The two-time All-Star was on the bench when his teammate knocked down a corner 3. The star point guard decided to celebrate by gesturing with a gun.
Fans quickly took to Twitter to share their reactions to Morant's "guns out" gesture. Here are some of the top reactions.
Some fans even went as far as to call Morant's celebration "Ja Wick," in reference to the famed film franchise of Keanu Reeves, John Wick.
The league hasn't announced if there will be any sanctions on the star player. There are certain celebrations that aren't permitted by the league, and what Morant did the other night could have been one of them.

Despite the accusations, Ja Morant has been playing impressively for the Grizzlies
Ja Morant has faced a number of challenges this season. Despite all that, he's managed to lead the team to second place in the tough Western Conference.
The 2019-20 Rookie of the Year is averaging 27.1 points, 6.0 rebounds and 8.2 assists while shooting 46.5% from the field, including 31.2% from downtown.
The Grizzlies have proven to be a tough team to beat in the West, and it's mainly because of Morant. He's playing like an MVP this season and has taken his game to the next level. If he can steer clear of controversy, he could develop into one of the finest players in the game today.
