Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards made a bold statement during his recent interview with ESPN's Malika Andrews. The All-Star forward called himself the best player in the NBA.

Anthony Edwards is only in his third year in the league. While it's good to have the confidence he does, it's no secret that he isn't the best player in the NBA right now. However, looking at how much Edwards has improved this early in his career, it's clear that he has the potential to become the league's best player in the future.
Edwards is only 21 but is averaging 24.9 points per game. He has also carried the load offensively for the Minnesota Timberwolves in Karl Anthony-Towns' absence. Towns has played only 21 of 61 games and is still out injured.
