NBA Fans up in arms as fanbases that complain the most were revealed: "Average age of Warriors fans is 12"

A chart was recently shared across NBA Twitter that depicts which teams' fans complain the most about the league's officiating. The chart is based on the percentage of fan tweets complaining about refs this season from each of the 30 teams. In first place was Golden State, followed by Chicago and Cleveland, with each franchise’s fanbase making up over 10.0% of the total complaints. Miami and Brooklyn then rounded out the top five. Meanwhile, Charlotte was down at the bottom with their fanbase making up just around 1.0% of the total complaints.

Naturally, when NBA fans saw the chart ranking the top complaining fanbases, many of them did what they do best - they complained some more.

“Maybe if the refs got the calls right,” one fan said.

Here are some of the other complaints from various teams' fanbases:

@TheNBACentral @betonline_ag Ain’t no way sixers are bottom 5
@TheNBACentral @betonline_ag Feel like we should be higher ngl. The refs screw us a lot
@TheNBACentral @betonline_ag Heat being near the top is hilarious considering Jimmy Butler gets some of the most fake calls I’ve ever seen
@TheNBACentral @betonline_ag As a Cavs fan I'm thinking maybe this page was paid off by the refs to slander the Cavs 🤔
@TheNBACentral @betonline_ag Refs hate the warriors though
@TheNBACentral @betonline_ag Atleast 75% of the Heats is just Lowry
@TheNBACentral @betonline_ag Did people stop paying attention to Knicks fans lol?

Meanwhile, others justified the rankings of some of their least favorite teams' fanbases, most notably the Warriors.

“Probably cause the average age of Warriors fans is 12 and they just started watching basketball no more than 5 years ago,” one fan said.

“Anybody on NBA Twitter for more than one second could’ve guessed the number one team,” another said.

The attack on Warriors fans just kept coming.

@TheNBACentral @betonline_ag WARRIORS LMAOOO THEY LITERALLY PAY THE REFS SO SHAMELESS
@TheNBACentral @betonline_ag Warriors built a dynasty off illegal screens why they crying😭😭
@TheNBACentral @betonline_ag Warriors fans acting like the haven’t been playing 8 on 5 for the past 8 years is laugh out loud funny
@TheNBACentral @betonline_ag Warriors fans are hypocrites sadly
@TheNBACentral @betonline_ag Warriors fans always crying 🤣🤣

The hatred towards the franchise appears to stem back to their dynasty days when they dominated the league with superstars Steph Curry and Kevin Durant. Many fans felt the Warriors ruined the NBA for a few years, so it’s understandable that a grudge has carried. This comes despite the Warriors currently being eighth in the Western Conference at 20-21.

Warriors fans may have caught a lot of flak from other fans mocking them for how much they complain. But it wasn’t much better for Hornets fans who also got roasted for being indifferent/nonexistent based on the chart.

“Hornets got no fans 🤣,” one fan joked.

“Hornets too busy complaining about their own team to complain about the refs too,” another said.

The Hornets jokes just kept coming too.

@TheNBACentral @betonline_ag Hornets fans just accept their fate
@TheNBACentral @betonline_ag I love that hornets fans are like, “eh that call going our way wouldn’t make up for the 20 point deficit. At least we have MJ!”
@TheNBACentral @betonline_ag hornets don’t have fans to complain
@TheNBACentral @betonline_ag Hornets just got no fans that’s why
@TheNBACentral @betonline_ag Hornets fans just don’t care at this point 😭

So if there is a lesson to be learned from the chart, it is that basketball fans will complain about anything. Likewise, whether a fanbase is complaining too much or too little, no one is safe on NBA Twitter.
