Germany wins Group B after win over France

Germany keeps playing at a high level during the basketball Olympic tournament. The reigning FIBA World Cup champions have looked like a real threat to beat Team USA and end their chances of winning the gold medal behind their veterans.

France didn't have an answer against them, with Victor Wembanyama only scoring 14 points in the 14-point defeat. Franz Wagner comes from a strong NBA season where he led the Magic to the playoffs and is trying to go even further with his national team.

They are one of the best teams headed to the knockout stage and after tomorrow's slate, the path to the gold medal will be clearer.
