"Follow the Savannah James playbook" - Fans praise LeBron James wife after Travis Hunter's fiance Leanna Lenee’s viral video comes to light
NBA fans are holding LeBron James' wife, Savannah James, in high regard after recent criticism directed at Travis Hunter's fiancée, Leanne Lenee. Many consider Savannah the best example of how to be a partner to a superstar athlete.
Lenee faced online criticism for her actions during Hunter's Heisman Trophy ceremony. USA Today noted that the 23-year-old was seated when Hunter received his trophy until Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders tapped her shoulder.
Some fans disapproved of her reaction to her man's accomplishment, and another incident during the Heisman Trophy winner's meet-and-greet at an Adidas pop-up event in New York City last Saturday didn't help.
Lenee has released an explanation on TikTok, with Hunter and many other sports personalities defending the couple, who have been together for five years.
NBA fans chimed in on X, formerly known as Twitter, praising Savannah for being a model partner. Some even suggested that Savannah should give lessons to athlete girlfriends on how to properly support and behave.
"Every high profile athlete's girlfriend/wife should follow the Savannah James playbook," a fan remarked.
"Savannah really should do masterclass on how to be a superstars' partner," one fan claimed.
"This ain't no Savannah James, I'll tell you that," another fan wrote.
LeBron James has been married to his wife since 2013, but they have been together since high school. She was out of the spotlight during the early part of his career, taking care of their children.
"They just not cut like Savannah James no more man none of these womenfolk," a fan opined.
"We didn't even know what Savannah sounded like until LeBron's 3rd ring. Tighten up sis," one fan commented.
"Savannah James needs to put on a seminar on how NOT to be the story. This is outrageous!" another fan suggested.
LeBron and Savannah have three children together, Bronny, Bryce and Zhuri. Bronny is currently teammates with his father on the LA Lakers.
Savannah James became a public figure later in LeBron James' career
As mentioned, Savannah James stayed out of the spotlight during the early part of LeBron James' career, focusing on taking care of their children. However, once they reached a certain age, she became a public figure admired by many women.
Savannah recently launched her own podcast with co-host April McDaniel called "Everybody's Crazy." The podcast already has a substantial following and is now in its third season. The show has its own merchandise, and its fanbase continues to grow with each episode.
