Former 76ers forward seemingly forgives Michelle Beadle for allegedly dropping n-word on AIR

During the latest episode of FanDuel TV's Run It Back show hosted by Michelle Beadle, Lou Williams, and Chandler Parsons, Beadle misspoke. While talking about Michael Porter Jr. and the Denver Nuggets, Beadle appeared to catch herself while accidentally saying the "Niggets."

Of course, this came across as though Beadle accidentally said the n-word, with Parsons and Williams both looking stunned. While Beadle corrected herself and continued with the talking point, Williams was seen laughing before joking that Beadle would be in trouble. Now, NBA vet Evan Turner has seemingly weighed in.

While footage of Beadle's on-air blunder has continued to go viral on social media, Turner has weighed in with post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"I sound crazy but I’m not mad at Michelle Beadle"

Beadle addressed the situation in a post on her Instagram story after the show, writing that her career flashed before her eyes.

“The moment you say ‘Nuggets’ incorrectly on television and your entire career flashes… while your cohosts die. Broadcasting students: slow down. And enunciate.”

FanDuel releases statement regarding Beadle's on-air blunder

Beadle sparked widespread debate heading into the weekend thanks to her blunder on the show. On one hand, some took aim at the longtime reporter and TV personality alleging that the only reason the word would have come out of Beadle's mouth is if she says it in private.

Others, like Turner, defended her, saying that the mispronunciation was an accident that she appeared immediately apologetic of. Considering we've seen other TV personalities in the sports industry lose their jobs for comments made on air unintentionally, FanDuel has released a statement on the matter.

In response to an inquiry from the New York Post, FanDuel broke its silence on the situation, and from the sounds of things, the company is backing Beadle. A report from the Post on Saturday included a one-word response to the situation, calling the whole ordeal a "gaffe." In other words, it was an accident.

Given that, it sounds as though the company will be sticking with Beadle and won't be letting her go in the wake of the viral moment. The trio are expected to be back on the air on Monday when they kick off the week's NBA coverage on FanDuel TV.
