"Four motherf**kers on me, motherf**ker wide open right here, why wouldn't I throw it to him" - LeBron James hits back at critics who question his style of play
LeBron James is one of the best players in NBA history. He has achieved almost everything in the sport, but is still hungry for success. James has also never backed down from a challenge.
In a recent appearance on "The Shop," James spoke about his mindset during games. He revealed that he cared about the consequences of missing a shot when he was younger, but did not let that affect him any more.
"I cared about what everybody else thought, I don't give a F**k now ... It probably changes about 25. I spend like seven years and then I went to Miami that first year and everything was still about what everybody else thought and then I was just like, 'I don't give a f**k, nobody think, I'm him, if I don't take it, who gonna take it.'"
LeBron James has one of the highest basketball IQs in the NBA. He is often a step ahead of the opponent and can make winning plays against the toughest of defenses. It doesn't always have to come in the form of a bucket. Sometimes, it can be a crafty pass to an open teammate that catches an opponent off guard.
However, he has often been criticized for doing so. James clapped back at his critics, saying his trust in his teammates shouldn't be mistaken for weakness.
"I get s**t for making the right play. Four mo**********s on me, mo********** wide open right here, like we are a team and I trust him, why wouldn't I throw it to him, I don't care about the results."
Can LeBron James turn things around for the LA Lakers next season?
LeBron James will be entering his 20th season in the NBA in a few months. Expectations are as high as they've ever been and he will be tasked with leading the Lakers to the postseason at the very least.
He has been working on his game in the offseason and even competed in the Drew League to get his competitive juices flowing.
James is in the twilight of his career and will undoubtedly want to win at least one more title before hanging up his boots.
