Four-time NBA champion Shaquille O'Neal recently scared fans with a picture of himself after hip surgery. However, in a recent clip posted on Instagram, "Diesel" appears to be working hard to get back into shape.

O'Neal posted a picture of himself in the hospital last week. Considering the state he was in when he shared the photo, fans were concerned regarding the basketball legend's health.

However, as per reports, Shaq was undergoing hip surgery to deal with an injury that had been bothering him for a while. While that could see him sidelined from broadcasting activity for a while, the big man seems more than ready to get back in shape.

O'Neal posted a video of himself in the gym on Instagram and captioned it with a call-out to old-timers at the gym:

"Bout to get my game back alll you old dudes that hoop in @24hrfitness @lafitness @lifetimefitness i’m coming for yall"

Fans poured in to show support for Shaq. Given his current condition, O'Neal will remain away from the "Inside the NBA" team for a while. However, he tweeted that he will miss them during his time away. Co-host Candance Parker responded to the same with, "Love ya big fella."

While there's no timetable set for a return, as per "The Big Podacast with Shaq", O'Neal targeted Apr. 16 as a potential date before the surgery. As for his health, Shaq said that he plans on losing 30 pounds and will sport an eight-pack soon. Fans will look forward to seeing him back in action.
