"Game 6 soon gotta lock in" - Celtics forward mocks Stephen A. Smith & Udonis Haslem's Finals prediction
Boston Celtics forward Oshae Brissett went on social media to troll Stephen A. Smith and Udonis Haslem. The Celtics took care of business and finished off the Dallas Mavericks, sending them home after five games. Boston dominated in Game 5 on Monday and made sure they didn't have to go back to Dallas to extend the NBA Finals.
The series ended with Boston on top, 106-88. Jaylen Brown walked away with the Finals MVP award as he averaged 20.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and five assists. Despite the efforts of Mavs' star Luka Doncic, who averaged 29.2 points, 8.8 rebounds and 5.6 assists in the series, the East team was better.
Experts from different media outlets made their choice in which team would win the ultimate goal. For ESPN's Smith and former Miami Heat forward, Haslem, they chose the Mavs to win the series in an episode of First Take before Game 1. Brissett kept receipts and trolled the two analysts on X.
"Game 6 soon gotta lock in," Brissett posted on social meda.
But their prediction didn't come to fruition as Boston was determined to end the series on their home floor.

What did Smith and Haslem say about the Celtics-Mavs series?
No one knew that Boston would end it on Monday night in five games, especially Smith and Haslem. Both of them chose the Mavs in the series and even agreed to choose Doncic as the Finals MVP.
"Dallas, I got Dallas winning," Haslem said on First Take. "I think Dallas is deeper. You talking about [Dante] Exum on the bench, they got [Josh] Green coming off the bench, they got [Dereck] Lively coming off the bench. Tim Hardaway Jr., who doesn't get much playing time is also coming off the bench... seven games and I got Luka [Doncic] winning MVP."
"I got the Mavs in 6 in Dallas," Smith said. "I can't see anybody going to Game 7 in Boston in that environment and winning for an NBA championship on the line. And I'm going to have to go with Luka [Doncic]."
Andraya Carter also picked the Mavs as her choice in the NBA Finals. Carter predicted that the series would end in six games with Doncic winning the MVP of the series. Out of the four people on the show, only Molly Qerim chose Boston to win the series.
Their predictions didn't come true as the Mavs lost in Boston last night.
