Trinity, while on the ground, made eye contact with someone off-camera, put on a fake smile and raised her two thumbs up. The gesture has resonated with fans, with one user on X saying she would get 'meme'd,' for the act.
The clip has been widely shared on social media, with some comparing Trinity to her father, Dennis Rodman.

Trinity played the full 90 minutes of the game with a lingering back spasm problem she's had since her rookie season in 2021. Despite the loss, she didn't use her injury worry as an excuse, as per ESPN's Jeff Kassouf.
"I'm not gonna make an excuse ... it's not hiding the fact that my back's not feeling great. I decided to stay in the game. I could have pulled myself out. That's not an excuse but I wasn't the Trin that I wanted to be today."
During the summer, she was part of the USWNT that took gold at the Paris Olympics. She ended the tournament with three goals and played six games.
