"Get your wife back" - A$AP Rocky name drops Scottie Pippen in Drake diss song
Star rapper A$AP Rocky dropped a new track where he disses Canadian artist Drake. The 'Started From the Bottom' singer was involved in a lyrical war with Kendrick Lamar a couple of months ago.
The Compton native went viral multiple times in prior months. Some of these songs became huge hits and even NBA stars like LeBron James, James Harden, Russell Westbrook and DeMar DeRozan enjoyed them.
Rocky has now taken aim at Drake, referencing Drake's past affection for Rihanna. He claimed that 'Drizzy' wants his wife, while also recognizing that fans are eager for new music from him.
"These n****s want my wife bad, the people want my next track," one part of the song says.
Moreover, Rocky name-dropped six-time NBA champion Scottie Pippen on the track, using a Larsa Pippen analogy for the legendary point forward
"N****s swear they pimpin', Scottie sippin', get your wife back," another verse of the song says.
After the public feud against Lamar, it remains to be seen if 'Drizzy' will engage in a new one with Rocky and if the New York native rapper has more material ready for the OVO Label founder.
Steph Curry rejected Kendrick Lamar's song against Drake
Before A$AP Rocky dropped this song, Steph Curry, a known Drake superfan and friend, made the rounds on social media for sharing his thoughts on Kendrick Lamar's 'Not Like Us' track.
After he led Team USA to a 105-79 commanding win over Serbia in a pre-Olympic preparation game, Curry wasn't happy to listen to 'Not Like Us' while LeBron James was vibing to the track.
"Damn it with this song," Curry said. "It's not the only song in America."
"I love it," LeBron James replied while other stars like Joel Embiid and Anthony Davis laughed at the interaction.
Curry and 'Drizzy' have a long-running friendship and that isn't changing after Lamar went in on the Canadian artist. Other NBA stars sided with Kendrick in this war, but it seems Curry remained loyal to his friend.
