Giannis Antetokounmpo makes hilarious comparison while talking about winning championships - "It's better than getting intimate"

Giannis Antetokounmpo is having another incredible season both statistics-wise and having his team in great shape to make another title chase.

When it comes to winning another championship, Antetokounmpo said in an article written by Sam Amick from The Athletic:

"It's better than getting intimate," Antetokounmpo said.

In the 2021 NBA Finals, Giannis Antetokounmpo won the NBA championship by defeating the Phoenix Suns in six games. Before Game 2 of the NBA Finals, Antetokounmpo said this about what it would mean to win a championship for the Milwaukee Bucks:

"You know, obviously, you see a lot of people have different routes. You can never judge anybody for the way he wins a championship, that he chooses to win a championship. But at the end of the day, doing it with the team that you started (with), I feel like it means more.
"Doing it (with) the team that drafted you, in the city that embraced you, the organization that helped you, it means a lot."

Antetokounmpo dropped 50 points in Game 6 to close out the Finals.

Giannis Antetokounmpo's championship aspirations this season

The Milwaukee Bucks (50-19) are first in the Eastern Conference and have won eight of their last 10 games, including two straight. Meanwhile, Antetokounmpo is averaging 31.5 points, 11.9 rebounds and 5.5 assists, while shooting 54.1%.

With a hilarious comparison made by Giannis Antetokounmpo when it comes to winning championships and being intimate, he knows how much it will mean to bounce back from last year's second-round playoff exit to win it all this year.

While Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid are neck-and-neck in the MVP race as the end of the regular season nears, Giannis Antetokounmpo is also included in the MVP discussion. He led the charge for the Bucks, having a strong 16-game winning streak, which helped them move past the Boston Celtics for the top spot in the Eastern Conference.

In winning the 2021 NBA Finals against the Phoenix Suns in six games, Antetokounmpo averaged 35.2 ppg, 13.2 rpg and 5.0 apg.

However, they almost got the best of the Boston Celtics during last year's second round in the playoffs, as the Bucks held a 3-2 advantage and the opportunity to close out the Celtics in Game 6 at Milwaukee's Fiserv Forum.

With a healthy Kris Middleton back and added depth from Jevon Carter to Joe Ingles, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks are primed for another deep playoff run.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks' opposing matchups in the East

Even with the dominant nature of Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks, they still have to go through stiff competition in the Eastern Conference.

For the majority of the season, they have been pitted against the Boston Celtics as the elite teams with a real shot at winning the NBA championship.

The Boston Celtics (48-22) are second in the East, and similar to the Bucks, they have two All-Star players in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, along with a deep roster. The Celtics are also the only NBA team with a top five offense (4th with a 116.5 rating) and defense (4th with a 111.1 rating).

The Philadelphia 76ers (46-22) are third in the East and also have a dominant big man in Joel Embiid to match up well against Antetokounmpo. They also have James Harden in their one-two punch. The 76ers are in the middle of an electric six-game winning streak.

The path to the NBA Finals was never going to be easy, as Giannis Antetokounmpo experienced and saw in 2021. It just got a whole lot tougher this season, but for Giannis, it's better than being intimate.
