Giannis Antetokounmpo channels Kobe Bryant to poke fun at wife and unborn child
It seems like Giannis Antetokounmpo doesn't have many players who could defend him. So now, he is challenging himself against five defenders at once; his wife and children, including one unborn.
The 6-foot-11 star was going against two under-four feet and one unborn defender all alone, by channeling Kobe Bryant, not something the LA Lakers legend himself had to face.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is a very confident jokester and perhaps it is one of his many talents apart from what he does on the basketball court. On Monday, Jan. 20, Antetokounmpo posted a picture of his pregnant wife and his three children on the court beside him while he shot a jumper from beyond the arc.
In what seemed like a perfect family picture, the Milwaukee Bucks star gave up no chance to crack a joke. He hilariously shaded his wife, his unborn child and his three children, all aged under 5.
"5 vs 1 still can’t guard me! 😂🤎 Kobeeee👌🏾," Antetokounmpo quipped in the caption.
Giannis and Mariah have two sons; Liam, who was born on Feb. 11, 2020 and Maverick Shai Antetokounmpo, who was born in September next year. Their daughter Eva Brooke was born in 2023.
Punster Giannis Antetokounmpo says his wife still likes him after getting stitches on his finger
Giannis Antetokounmpo's thoughtful soliloquy after an early exit from the 2023 NBA Playoffs might not have sat well on many ears. But it made something very clear: the Bucks star had a big gut to take the loss and learn from it.
As much as Giannis might prize his mind, he also prizes his wit, which can sometimes even embarrass his close ones.
On Jan. 7, in a game against the Toronto Raptors, Giannis had to step inside the locker room to get stitches on his finger. He got a cut on his pinkie finger after trying for a chase-down block. However, after three stitches, he returned for the game and finished with a triple-double in the win.
After the game, when a reporter asked the Bucks star how he felt about the injury, he had a hilarious response. As usual, Giannis hilariously mentioned his wife in his answer.
"I feel great," Giannis said. "I got some stitches in my finger. I told my wife. My wife's still with me. She still likes me. So, we won the game, good day."
When the reporter asked the two-time MVP if the injury was going to affect his game.
"I might not be able to make 3s now. Oh, my goodness!" he hilariously added.
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Mariah Riddlesprigger have been a happy couple for over a decade now. They got married in September last year in Greece. The private wedding was attended by his family and close friends, including some of his current and former NBA teammates.
