Giannis Antetokounmpo and fiancée Mariah Riddlesprigger enjoy family getaway catching Europa Conference League Final showdown

Giannis Antetokounmpo and his fiancée Mariah Riddlesprigger attended the UEFA Europa Conference League final in Athens, Greece in Wednesday. The Milwaukee Bucks superstar and his family are in his home country for a vacation after an early exit in the 2024 NBA playoffs.

In a post on her Instagram stories, Riddlesprigger enjoyed her first live soccer game. The game was between the Italian side Fiorentina and the Greek club Olympiacos. The couple had one of the best seats inside the OPAP Arena to watch the action unfold.

"First football game with this goofball @giannis_an34," Riddlesprigger wrote.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was born and raised in Athens, Greece. He's a huge soccer fan and supports AC Milan. He's also one of the minority owners of Nashville SC in Major League Soccer. But growing up in Athens, he was a fan of Olympiacos, and there are pictures of him attending games with his late father, Charles.

Olympiacos triumphed over Fiorentina in the final to lift the Europa Conference League trophy. It was their first European glory since their Balkans Cup win in 1963.

Moroccan striker Ayoub El Kaabi gave Olympiacos the victory after scoring in the 116th minute of extra time. Fiorentina was unable to find the equalizer, losing their second consecutive Europa Conference League final. They lost to West Ham United last year 2-1, conceding the game-winner in the 90th minute.

Giannis Antetokounmpo took his family on an early vacation in Europe, mainly in Greece. The Indiana Pacers eliminated the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the 2024 NBA playoffs. Antetokounmpo was unable to play in the series due to a calf injury.

Despite being on vacation, "The Greek Freak" had some time to support his younger brother, Kostas Antetokounmpo, in the EuroLeague Final in Berlin, Germany. Kostas plays for Panathinaikos, a Greek basketball team.

They faced off against European powerhouse Real Madrid in the final held at the Uber Arena. Madrid was in control in the first quarter before Panathinaikos came back and made it a close game in the second period. The Greek team took over in the second half to win the game 95-80.

It was Panathinaikos' seventh EuroLeague Championship and their first since the 2010-11 season. Kostas joined an elite group of players with NBA and EuroLeague titles, such as Toni Kukoc and Manu Ginobili. He won an NBA championship with the LA Lakers back in 2020.

Giannis Antetokounmpo did not play for the two biggest Greek basketball clubs when he was young. He played for his hometown team, Filathlitikos, before being drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in 2013.
