"Gibbs channeling AI vibes" - NBA fans amped over Jahmyr Gibbs' Allen Iverson tribute with jersey & step over celebration after touchdown

Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs paid homage to one of the most iconic moments in NBA Finals history. Early in the second quarter of the Lions' 24-6 road win against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, Gibbs scored a one-yard touchdown to give his team the 6-3 lead. Gibbs and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown recreated Iverson's iconic 'step over' of former LA Lakers player and current LA Clippers coach Tyronn Lue.

Gibbs 'shook off' St. Brown before attempting the imaginary jump shot. After the receiver fell to the ground, Jahmyr stepped over him.

Jahmyr Gibbs paid homage to Allen Iverson before hitting iconic celebration

Jahmyr Gibbs entered Lucas Oil Stadium on a mission and the celebration wasn't the only way he used to honor Allen Iverson. Ahead of the matchup, he made it to the venue wearing the black 76ers jersey of 'The Answer.'

Gibbs had a great game, finishing with 21 carries for 90 rushing yards (including a 17-yard run) and two touchdowns. He also caught three passes for nine receiving yards.

The Lions had no mercy against the Colts, only allowing six points in the entire game (two field goals in each of the first two quarters). They secured a 24-6 win with another touchdown in the third quarter and a field goal in the final period.

The Lions improved to 10-1 in the season and keep looking like a serious candidate to win the Super Bowl.
