Gilbert Arenas' son Alijah recovering well after Tesla accident, says YouTuber DJ Vlad
YouTuber DJ Vlad has provided an update on the health of Gilbert Arenas' son Alijah Arenas.
Alijah was involved in a car accident on Thursday morning. ESPN's Shams Charania reported that the Los Angeles Fire Department received a call at around four in the morning after a Tesla Cybertruck hit a tree/fire hydrant and caught fire.
Authorities said Alijah Arenas was rushed to the hospital and put into an induced coma.
DJ Vlad said he reached out to Alijah's father, who assured him that his son was recovering well.
"For everyone hitting me about Gilbert Arenas' son being in a serious accident, Gilbert just hit me back and said his son is doing good and should be fine," DJ Vlad posted.
Gilbert Arenas' son did not sustain any major injuries
According to Tarek Fattal, a reporter for SI, Alijah did not sustain any serious injuries. Fattal reported that the vehicle Alijah was in caught fire, which caused him to inhale a lot of smoke. This was the reason he had to be placed in an induced coma, which the reporter said is standard protocol for smoke inhalation.
Fattal posted screenshots from a video uploaded during the accident, which happened at 4:55 a.m.
A video obtained by TMZ Sports showed a couple of people helping a young person, alleged to be Alijah, get out of the vehicle. The video also showed the person in a puddle of water from the fire hydrant.
The vehicle was left on the road, and a passerby took a video of the wreck. On the side of the road, the Official Imound Garage kept an eye on the Cybertruck.
