Gilbert Arenas' ex Laura Govan was a proud mother cheering her daughter Izela Arenas ahead of a 3-point contest. The eldest daughter of the former NBA player and Govan was one of the three participants in the contest organized by Louisville Cardinals women's basketball.

The ex-girlfriend of the former Washington Wizards player posted a series of pictures on her social media profile. Ahead of the opening day of the Cardinals, Govan posted a picture with her daughter on her Instagram Story. Clicking a picture in a sweatshirt with Izela, Govan wrote:

"Sleepy and All couldn't miss this one. Like mother like daughter!"

In a video that Laura Govan posted on her story, she was seen wearing a sweatshirt with a childhood picture of her daughter. Izela was pictured with a basketball. She captioned the story:

"Came all the way to see my baby on opening day!"

The opening day of the Louisville Cardinals was organized on Friday, October 4.

Gilbert Arenas has four children with Laura Govan. They have two sons and two daughters. They have two sons, Alijah Arenas and Aloni Arenas, and two daughters, Izela and Hamiley Arenas. The former couple separated in 2014.

Earlier this year, Gilbert Arenas and Laura Govan's daughter Izela Arenas graduated from Sierra Canyon. The daughter of the former NBA star had already committed to Louisville before her graduation day. The last day of her daughter's high school was a hard one for Govan.

The mother of four, who also attended her daughter's graduation day, took to her social media to pour her heart out. Govan put a series of pictures from the special day at Sierra Canyon and penned a heartfelt message for her daughter.

Govan wrote in the caption that it was already hard for her to accept the fact that her daughter had already grown up and would leave for college very soon. However, she also added that she was excited for her daughter's future.

In a series of pictures that Govan put on her IG handle, the entire Arenas and Govan family were present for the occasion. However, the NBA star's face was still missing from the picture. Izela Arenas wore a white dress for the occasion and posed for the picture with her family.
