Gilbert Arenas' ex Laura Govan sends 5-word response to La La Anthony's lighthearted family betrayal
Back in November, La La Anthony appeared on NBA legend Carmelo Anthony's "7PM in Brooklyn" podcast alongside the couple's son, Kiyan Anthony. During the episode, La La spoke about her understanding of the game, which led to a hilarious moment that left everyone in attendance laughing as Kiyan questioned when she ever played basketball.
La La responded by saying how she played basketball herself and how she watches the game as more than just a spectator. The back-and-forth from the episode was clipped and uploaded to Instagram, with a caption joking about how nobody had La La Anthony's back during the exchange.
In the comments, Laura Govan, the ex-girlfriend of NBA vet Gilbert Arenas and the mother of NBA hopeful Alijah Arenas, was quick to respond in the comments section, sticking up for La La:
"I gotcha Back La lol"

Carmelo Anthony defends La La Anthony, agreeing that she is in tune with the game
While there were plenty of laughs when Kiyan questioned his mom's knowledge of basketball, NBA legend Carmelo Anthony stood up for his ex-wife during the exchange.
After she said that she played basketball, Carmelo agreed that she was more in tune with the game than the average viewer:
"I would say you're very in tune into the game and the details of the game and, what it takes to be prepared for the game. I definitely would say that about you. ... Four minutes into the quarter, first quarter. She like, 'Why does Kai look like that? Why is he moving like that?' ... I said, 'Kai is a guy who picks the pace up.'"
La La then countered, saying that she actually said that she wanted to see Kiyan pick up his pace, which Carmelo corroborated.
La La will have a chance to watch plenty more high-level basketball in the future, with Kiyan already committed to Syracuse for college as he looks to continue to follow in his dad's footsteps all the way to the NBA.
