Kevin Durant recently announced his wish to be traded from the Brooklyn Nets, sending the NBA into a frenzy.

There's been plenty of speculation about teams that could be in the hunt to acquire the two-time champion. Durant's reported list of preferred teams includes the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat. Despite that, plenty of teams around the league have reportedly enquired about him.

It's also been speculated that Durant is open to returning to the Golden State Warriors. Despite the history between the two parties, a move to Golden State is a possibility given the assets they have to trade.

Speaking on "Undisputed," analyst Shannon Sharpe said that he believes Durant should return "home".

"If the Nets want young talent and draft picks, the only viable option is the Golden State Warriors...KD will go be an Eddie King and the Five Heartbeats...I feel like going home."

It is not often that one of the best players in the league is available, so teams will do their best to put together a trade package to acquire Kevin Durant from the Nets.

The Golden State Warriors are a team to "keep an eye on" for Kevin Durant, per @MarcJSpears

“Spears noted the Warriors ‘could’ potentially offer the best package for both sides, with a deal involving Jordan Poole, Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga and James Wiseman.”

Durant has made it clear where he wants to move, but he does not really have any leverage over the Nets. As such, competition for the superstar forward will likely be aggressive.

Despite dealing with injuries over the last couple of years, Durant has proven that he's still one of the best players in the league. Having him on the roster would undoubtedly be a bonus for any team in the league, making them instant contenders for the title.
