"Going crazzzyyyyy" - Carmelo Anthony's ex-wife La La Anthony hyped as son Kiyan drops 26 points in front of dad and Ja Morant
On Wednesday, four-star shooting guard Kiyan Anthony continued his strong run at the Nike EYBL Peach Invitational Tournament. He did so before his father, former NBA star Carmelo Anthony, and Memphis Grizzlies star point guard Ja Morant. Afterward, Carmelo's ex-wife, La La Anthony, raved about their son's standout play on social media.
Kiyan finished with 26 points, three rebounds, six assists, one steal and two 3-pointers, shooting 66.7% over 28 minutes. He helped guide Team Melo to an 85-68 victory over the NW Rotary Rebels to improve to a 4-1 record.
Kiyan's scoring outburst marked his second-highest point total of the tournament. He dropped 40 points on 78.9% shooting during Monday's 81-51 win over Mac Irvin Fire. Through five games, the 17-year-old prospect is averaging 21.6 points per game on 46.9% shooting.
On Wednesday, Kiyan's mother, La La, shared Bleacher Report Hoops' highlight reel of his 26-point performance to her Instagram stories. She captioned the clip, which featured Carmelo and Morant on the sidelines, "@kiyananthony going crazzzyyyyy."
Kiyan's elite scoring should continue to boost his stock ahead of his senior season at New York's Long Island Lutheran High School. He has reportedly received offers from numerous colleges, including his father's alma mater, Syracuse.
The PIT is set to run until July 21, with Team Melo next slated for a matchup against the Georgia Stars on Thursday. So, Kiyan still has a few more opportunities to turn heads at the tournament.

Kiyan Anthony close to narrowing down college options
During the PIT, which kicked off on July 13, On3 spoke with Kiyan Anthony about his college recruitment process and the timeline for his decision.
Anthony first touched on some schools that have pursued him, including Syracuse, Ohio State, Auburn, Indiana, USC, Rutgers and Arkansas. Afterward, he noted that he plans to narrow down his options later this month.
"Definitely this month, after Peach Jam, or a week after," Anthony said. "I’m approaching my senior year, and I want to commit before the season even starts."
Anthony added that he is aiming to make a final decision by October or November. As of today, On3 has the 6-foot-5 shooting guard ranked No. 27 in the 2025 class.
