Golden State Warriors vs Houston Rockets Predicted Starting Lineups and Depth Charts for Nov. 2 | 2024-25 NBA Season
The Houston Rockets will host the Golden State Warriors at the Toyota Center on Saturday evening. Both teams are off to strong starts this season and this promises to be a fascinating encounter with plenty of star talent on display.
The Warriors come into the game with a 4-1 record and two consecutive wins. Steve Kerr's offense is clicking early in the season with Golden State leading all Western Conference teams with an impressive 119.8 points per game.
The addition of sharpshooter Buddy Hield seems to have brought some life into an offense that was relatively inconsistent last season. Hield leads the Warriors' roster with 21.2 ppg and is shooting an impressive 50% from behind the arc.
Houston enters Saturday's matchup on a two-game win streak after wins over in-state rivals the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks. The Rockets' defense has been outstanding to start the year, with Ime Udoka's team holding opponents to just 106.0 ppg. They rank fourth in opponent ppg amongst all teams in the West.
Jalen Green is Houston's leading scorer with an average of 27.6 ppg over five starts.
Golden State Warriors vs Houston Rockets Predicted Starting Lineups and Depth Charts
The loss of Steph Curry two-time MVP Steph Curry to a peroneal strain injury will be a major blow for the Warriors. The 10-time All-Star is set to miss his third straight game. Guard De'Anthony Melton will also be out due to a back issue.
It is still early in the season, but Steve Kerr has rotated his starting lineup quite a bit. Over five games, nine different players have already received starts. The absence of Curry means Brandin Podziemski and Moses Moody could both start.
Expect to see a starting five of Brandin Podziemski, Moses Moody, Buddy Hield, Draymond Green and Trayce Jackson-Davis.

The Rockets will be without center Steven Adams for Saturday's game. The 31-year-old New Zealander is recovering from a right knee injury.
Unlike his counterpart, coach Udoka has remained consistent with his starting five. The second-year Rockets coach has stuck with the same starters for all five games so far to begin the 2024-25 campaign. We can expect to see Fred VanVleet, Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, Jabari Smith Jr. and Alperen Sengun take the court once again against the Warriors.
