The only most notable omission from the Warriors squad is Andrew Wiggins, who is out due to illness. This gives Coach Kerr a nearly full roster to experiment with.

The Dubs have made four signings: Kyle Anderson, Buddy Hield, De'Anthony Melton, and Lindy Waters III. They also drafted Quinten Post. All four are likely to have a chance of making their first appearances in Dubs color.

Steph Curry joined earlier this week and may well gain minutes under his belt after coming back from the Paris Olympics.

The Clippers will be without Kawhi Leonard and Mo Bamba, who are confirmed to be out injured and they will both likely miss all of preseason.

Tyronn Lue's squad will most likely be mixed, with five new additions: Mo Bamba, Nicolas Batum, Derrick Jones Jr., and Kevin Porter Jr. They also acquired Kris Dunn via trade and drafted Cam Christie.

Golden State Warriors vs LA Clippers: What to expect

For Warriors fans, this will be the first season without standout player Klay Thompson, who has been moved to the Dallas Mavericks. The need for his replacement has never been more urgent. For the first time since Kevin Durant left, there's a genuine long-term opportunity for players to establish themselves.

Steve Kerr's players will attempt to build on their 10th-place result last season. It will be a thing of the past if all of the new names can work together.

It is a slightly more complicated situation for the Clippers. For all the regular season success, consistently going deep in the playoffs, the Clippers are yet to win an NBA championship as the 54-year wait for a title continues.
