The LA Lakers faced the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. LeBron James and Co. had a strong start before the Dubs caught up with them. The four-time MVP had an underwhelming performance in the Lakers' 111-97 loss to their rivals.
Anthony Davis had a superb night, finishing with 24 points, 12 rebounds and two assists. Rui Hachimura stepped up to deliver 15 points, nine rebounds and one assist. James tallied six points on 3-for-9 shooting and added four assists and two rebounds.
Meanwhile, Steph Curry led Golden State's well-balanced attack. The superstar point guard finished with 16 points, six assists, five rebounds and two steals. Moses Moody came off the bench to drop 21 points.

Golden State Warriors vs LA Lakers: Game summary
The Lakers came out hot, opening an early 10-3 lead before the Golden State Warriors bounced back. Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura led their team in scoring while LeBron James orchestrated the plays. Anthony Davis' 11 first-quarter points led the Lakers. LA’s offense hummed in the first quarter.
The Dubs were led by Steph Curry, Jonathan Kuminga and Draymond Green. Kuminga’s versatility shone while Green’s matchup with James was as entertaining as always. Curry remained the Lakers’ focus on defense.
The Warriors took a 31-28 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Anthony Davis, Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves continued to carry the scoring cudgels for the LA Lakers in the second quarter. The three combined for 35 points with 18 rebounds and three assists. LeBron James ended the first half with six points, four assists and two rebounds.
Steph Curry scattered seven points in the second period to finish with 11 points, three rebounds and three assists in the first half. Curry had plenty of help from Jonathan Kuminga who tallied 10 points, four rebounds and two assists during the same stretch. The Golden State Warriors took a 58-51 advantage before the halftime break.
The third quarter featured strong defensive plays from the Lakers and the Warriors. Rookie Dalton Knecht's two free throws made it 77-70 with 1:15 to go before the Warriors unloaded a 6-0 finishing kick to end the period.
The Dubs began to put more distance between themselves and the Lakers in the first six minutes of the fourth quarter. Gary Payton II's 22-footer pushed Golden State's lead to 96-79. The last few minutes of the final frame became a shootout between Knecht and Moody.
The Warriors eventually held on for a comfortable 111-97 win.
