Golden State Warriors vs Sacramento Kings injury report: Game 6 2023 Playoffs round-1 (April 28, 2023)
The injury report for Game 6 of the series between the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors has one notable omission. All-Star guard De'Aaron Fox is no longer on the list.
Fox was doubtful heading into Game 5 after breaking his index finger in Game 4. 'Swipa" played through the injury and still put up 24 points but was clearly bothered by the injury.
The normally efficient superstar hit just 9-25 from the field, including 3-10 from behind the arc. De'Aaron Fox missed all six of his shots in the pivotal fourth quarter.
The Sacramento Kings are expecting him to play through the pain but have removed him from the injury report.
Backup point guard Matthew Dellavedova, who hasn't played a game in the series due to surgery on his right index finger, remains out.
The Golden State Warriors' injury report hasn't changed slightly since the start of the playoffs. Patrick Baldwin Jr., who has played just three minutes in the postseason, has been ruled doubtful due to left toe soreness.
Andre Iguodala has been a staple in the Warriors' injury report and will not be available for the entire playoffs. The four-time champ had left wrist surgery a little over a month ago.
Ryan Rollins is also out for the season due to right foot surgery.
Golden State Warriors Lineup & Sacramento Kings Lineup
Golden State Warriors players who are not on the injury report are likely to play. Steve Kerr could field the same starting unit for Game 6 as the one he used in the previous game.
Kerr rejigged his starting five, based on Draymond Green's suggestion, by inserting Jordan Poole. Green's one-game suspension after stomping on Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis' chest forced the initial change.
The Warriors have been playing with better offensive flow with the former Defensive Player of the Year winner coming off the bench. Green even had his best scoring playoff game on Wednesday when he had 21 points to go with seven assists, four rebounds and four steals.
Gary Payton II, Donte DiVincenzo, Moses Moody, Jonathan Kuminga, JaMychal Green and Anthony Lamb could be called into action off the bench.
The Sacramento Kings, on the other hand, are likely going to stick to the same starting unit since the series against Golden State started. De'Aaron Fox, off the injury report, will partner Kevin Huerter on the backcourt.
Sacramento's frontline will feature Keegan Murray at small forward, Harrison Barnes at power forward and Domantas Sabonis playing center.
Malik Monk will lead the Kings' bench unit. Davion Mitchell, Trey Lyles, Alex Len and Kessler Edwards are part of the Kings' bench mob.
